Sam: On Reading

Reading is so important in life and to me. I'm going to share some of my reading experiences with you.  To start it off, my favorite books to listen to as a child were Dr. Seuss books. I read pretty much all of his books such as: Green Eggs and Ham, Are You my Mother, and 1 Fish 2 Fish. I also loved reading Fancy Nancy books. My last favorite series of books when I was small was Curious George books. Next, my earliest literary moment was probably when I was in Kindergarten. I remember getting a packet that had all of the letters in the alphabet and we had to trace and write them. I was always so excited about getting homework, which was stupid thinking back, because now I hate homework! I have always felt that I am a great reader and I love challenging myself with harder books, but one of the things I struggle with is getting into a book. I love reading once I get into it, but sometimes it's one of my struggles. You may not know it, but the best book I read in fifth grade was the book Wonder. That book is one of my favorite books in the world. It is one of the books that you just can't put down. I like that book because it had so much description and creativity and pulled you in right from the start. In conclusion, I don't have a specific book that I would want to read in 6th grade, but i would really enjoy reading a book in the genre fiction, or realistic fiction. Fiction and realistic fiction are my favorite genres and I really enjoy reading books in that category. I love reading so much and reading is something I will continue to do for the rest of my life.

BE KIND EVEN WHEN THEY AREN'T.
